Best Caribbean Honeymoon – A Place for Honeymooners
Honeymoons are being planned all the time and there are countless destinations all over the globe where people could go. There are different reasons why different people go where they do but one of the big factors for people is weather.
Many people want to a beautiful sandy beach, lie out in the sun, swim in the ocean and just enjoy life. There are many places that fit this criteria and one of the main ones is the Caribbean. The Caribbean is made up of different islands but they all share the same beautiful weather and access to the water.
The Caribbean may seem like a far destination but by plane a flight from Los Angeles to the Caribbean takes about 5 hours. This could be a long time to be on a plane but once you get off the plane, the flight will have been worth it.
The sun is always shining and the weather is always warm. The Caribbean does have two seasons to their credit and those are the dry season and the wet season. The dry season occurs between the months of December and May while the wet season occurs during the months of June and November. The wet season also goes along with hurricane season.
The location of the Caribbean islands does put it at risk for hurricanes but the chances of a hurricane actually hitting these islands are rare. During the wet season, or hurricane season, there will be more rain than normal but the amount of rain that the islands get is minimal.
The sun will still be out and shining brightly most of the time. The average temperature for the islands year round is about 80 degrees. A light breeze can be felt all over the islands and this breeze makes the warm weather that much more appealing.
When traveling to the Caribbean, be aware that they do have their own currency. The islands use what is known as the East Caribbean dollar and the exchange rate hangs around 1 U.S. dollar to 2.70 East Caribbean dollars.
Rates do fluctuate with the markets so be aware of what the rate is when you are exchanging your money. Many of the resorts and hotels that tourists travel to will have an exchange service right on the property to make it very convenient for guests to be able to get the money that they need. |
